I Am Bird is a bird simulation game that allows you to be a pigeon in a busy city. You can roam the skyscrapers, streets, and people as you like. Before starting let’s get a little more familiar with the game.

Note: You can also check out some other games of the same genre on our website, such as The Birdcage 3 or Flappy Bird.

Introduce about I Am Bird

I Am Bird is a quite atypical simulation game developed by Estoty. You won’t play as a hero or racer here, instead, you will play as a pigeon flying around the city. It is felt right from the very first minutes of freedom. You can flap your wings and soar, landing on a rooftop, power pole, or outside coffee table, before taking off once more of your own accord.

After playing for a while, I realized that the appeal of I Am Bird lies in its very “realistic” mischief. You can find food, pick up strange objects, bother passersby, and see how they react. Some people laugh, some dodge, and some get annoyed. In reality, these reactions made me feel that the game world was quite alive, not just a backdrop to fly over. Each flight was a different situation; sometimes it was just wandering around admiring the scenery, other times it created unexpected humorous moments.

Free-flying in an open city

The most noticeable thing when starting I Am Bird is the feeling of freedom. You’re not confined to a small area, nor are there arrows telling you to follow a fixed path. Just flap your wings and you can fly up, glide over buildings, land on rooftops or power lines, and then continue. When I first started playing, I flew around just to see where the limits were. But then I realized there were almost no clear limits at all.

After playing for a while, I got used to controlling the altitude, the angle of the flight, and landing in tight spaces. In fact, during gameplay, there were times when I just flew to admire the city from above, seeing everything shrink below, which felt quite relaxing. This feeling arose because the game didn’t force me to do anything specific. I could fly when I wanted to, stop when I wanted to. There was no countdown timer, no one to urge me on.

Interacting with people and the environment in a very playful way

Another feature that made me laugh quite a lot while playing I Am Bird was the ability to interact with people and objects around me. You can pick up food, knock over small items, or do mischievous things to see how they react. When I first started playing, I only tried it a few times out of curiosity. But after playing for a while, I started actively looking for people to “tease.”

In reality, during gameplay, some people would panic and run away, some would scream, and some would get annoyed. Each reaction was different, making me curious to try again. This feeling arises because the game makes the world around you anything but static.

I’m not just flying over a soulless city, but interacting with a place that responds to my actions. Sometimes, just seeing a group of people gathered together, I want to fly down and see what happens if I disturb them a little. It’s these small moments that make the game fun in a very “realistic” way.

Stress-free sandbox gameplay

I Am Bird doesn’t place heavy tasks or clear goals on the game. When I first started, I was a bit confused because I didn’t know what to do next. But after playing for a while, I realized that’s the game’s intention. You set your own goals. One day you’ll fly as high as possible. Another day you’ll try to find all the unfamiliar places in the city. Some days you’ll just wander around teasing people for fun.

I keep trying until I succeed. The game feels more like playtime than a challenge. After a tiring day, opening I Am Bird, flying in the air a bit and doing some random things, makes the mind much lighter. The game has a stress-free sandbox style that allows you to play quickly without spending too much time or thought.

Graphics and sound

The graphics of I Am Bird are not extremely detailed. The game does not look to be highly realistic. The graphics are simple and the colors are bright, slightly cartoonish. When I commenced the game, the city looked quite bright with well-drawn buildings, streets, and parks. So, I could understand my location quite easily.

After playing a bit, I was convinced that the graphics’ style reflects the game’s laid-back gameplay perfectly. In fact, while playing the game, I was not distracted by small details but focused on flying and interacting. I felt this way because everything in the game was right, not heavy enough that I couldn’t play for too long without straining my eyes or feeling confused.

When it comes to sound, I Am Bird employs fairly light background music. There were times I forgot there was music, as it blended into the mix so well that it was relaxing. The flapping of the wings; the wind while flying; people shouting or getting teased and reacting to it were all quite musical.

I Am Bird doesn’t focus on missions or storylines. It’s more like a small playground where you create your own fun from exploration and interaction. For those who want a lighthearted, fun experience without the pressure of winning or losing, this game offers a relaxing feeling in its own way, like seeing a familiar city from a different perspective.
