Basic Battle Layout and Operations
Battles in Crunchyroll: Battle Suit Aces are card battles. Units appear in battle as cards. Your side and the enemy side take turns acting. The two sides will occupy symmetrical positions on the screen. The top position is the enemy’s formation and the bottom position is yours. Both you and your opponent have a maximum of 5 card slots. Cards placed on the field can attack opponent cards, but they can also take attacks.
You can select a card on your side and press “Fire” to attack the enemy. At the beginning of each turn, you will receive a support card on the left side of the screen. Drag and drop them into your formation to increase the number of cards participating in the battle. If all 5 slots are filled with cards, press skip to ignore the support card. Card attack mechanism
Most cards will attack the target in the opposite slot. Some have the ability to attack multiple cards at once. Each card has a power stat displayed in the top left corner. The top right corner shows health. An attacked card will lose health equivalent to the power of the attacking card. A card that runs out of health will be completely eliminated from the battle.

Each card in your lineup generates energy at the beginning of each turn. Some special cards can generate even more energy. However, the maximum amount of energy you can accumulate is 5. Once that number is reached, any additional energy received will be discarded.
To add depth to the gameplay, Crunchyroll: Battle Suit Aces features two energy systems: blue and red. A card can use either one or both to perform an attack. Having multiple cards using different energy systems allows you to attack continuously within a given turn. However, in return, the amount of energy you receive from each system will be reduced.
