The setting in Rust Truck
The story in Rust Truck takes place during a time of human civilization’s collapse. World powers attack each other with weapons of mass destruction, resulting in the destruction of the entire world. No place on the surface of the Earth can survive. In this catastrophe, a small community survives. They hid in a bunker, living underground for years. They could no longer see the sun through their windows. Their hope gradually faded.
However, supplies eventually ran out. The surviving community had to leave the bunker and search for food and water. Sarah, the leader of the community, decided to set up production. However, this required transportation. You will be assigned this task. Alongside you is Bill, an engineer, who will provide and develop transportation vehicles to help you carry out your delivery tasks efficiently and safely.
Rust Truck Gameplay
In Rust Truck, your task is to drive transport vehicles, navigating the rugged terrain of towns to reach the warehouse. The driving mechanics in Rust Truck closely resemble real-life driving. Pay attention to the intuitive interface at the bottom of the screen. Here, you have two gauges, one for speed and one for wheel rotation frequency. Between the two gauges is a gauge for the remaining fuel level. To the left is the engine start button along with the differential lock. To the right is the gear shifter. In the upper right corner of the screen is the accelerator pedal, allowing you to move the vehicle forward. In the lower left corner of the screen is the brake pedal, used to stop the vehicle immediately.
Your vehicle will experience physical impacts caused by the terrain. In addition, the vehicle will be towing a trailer, which may contain goods. If you drive too fast over bumps or take a steep hill, your goods will fall out, and you will fail the mission. Don’t forget to monitor your fuel level. Use your money to refuel at fuel stations. If your vehicle runs out of fuel, it will be unable to move. You may have to use the “towing” feature to have a heavy-duty tow truck move your vehicle forward. This feature costs $20 in-game per short distance.
Warehouse jobs
The warehouse in Rust Truck has a conveyor belt and a robotic arm. You can control the robotic arm to pick up goods from the conveyor belt and put them into the trailer. You can sell goods and receive money by picking up goods from the truck and putting them on the conveyor belt. Each warehouse provides a different item, for example: wooden crates, heavy fuel barrels, construction materials, etc. You can search for the item you need by clicking on locations on the map. Some warehouses can also produce tools, weapons, etc. You need to transport all the necessary materials so that these warehouses can produce them.
Buying and Upgrading Vehicles
At the garage, you can purchase new, more powerful, safer, and more efficient vehicles. Rust Truck offers a wide variety of trucks and tractor trucks for you to choose from.
