The setting in Headshot ZD
On July 18, 2018, a thick fog enveloped everything. This was the “product” of a chemical reaction between nuclear radiation and a toxic air mass unknown to mankind. Authorities called the fog the “Smog of Death.” 99.9% of living creatures exposed to the fog became living dead. Soon after, the world entered a post-apocalyptic era.
However, in the darkness of the disaster, miracles still occurred. Somewhere in the ruined houses, buildings, hospitals, alleyways, etc., there were people with resistance. They retained their human bodies, not turning into zombies after the disaster. From there, a plan was devised. To survive, you need to find and rescue these survivors who are facing the bloodthirsty zombies alone. Combat Mechanism in Headshot ZD
To find and collect water, food, and numerous other necessary items, you need to explore areas within the city. Choose a suitable location on the map, then select a survivor to explore.
Once you’ve arrived at your chosen location, your mission is to eliminate all the zombies there. You can move using the virtual joystick in the left corner of the screen. The right corner of the screen contains three virtual buttons: attack, dodge, and reload. When attacking, the survivor will use the gun in their hand and fire forward. The bullet that hits the first zombie will deal damage to it. Specifically, if the bullet hits the zombie’s head, it will deal four times the damage. Therefore, try to adjust the survivor’s position to hit as many zombies in the head as possible.
Infection and vaccine
Headshot ZD has no health system for survivors. Therefore, they will be taken down with just a small bite from the zombies. If you let that happen, you will lose the level and that person will be partially infected and unable to fight. You must use a vaccine to save them. If there are no vaccines left, you need to explore the city with another survivor to have a chance to find one.
The refugee camp in Headshot ZD
This is where all those uninfected by the epidemic live, and it’s also where you’ll return after completing your expedition. Here, you’ll need to be mindful of two things: water and food. As mentioned above, these can be obtained from expeditions. However, the amount of water and food decreases each day as it’s distributed to everyone. Each expedition takes a day; if it fails, you won’t bring anything back, leading to a serious shortage of these two resources. Therefore, prioritize exploring low-difficulty locations first to accumulate enough water and food.
At the refugee camp, you can also build and upgrade farms and water tanks. To do these, you’ll need wood, a resource that can be collected from expeditions. While farms and water tanks can’t provide all the necessary food and water, they will ease the burden of finding these resources, allowing you to comfortably experiment in challenging locations.
